re: Would it bother you a M.D. requires you to call them "Doctor" outside of medical setting?

I've only met one person like that, it was a lawyer who would always make people put the suffix "J.D." at the end of his name. I first noticed it on a wedding dinner table card and then started thinking back about other times he did that. He would always tell people how he was a lawyer, would work it into any convo. Guy would twitch if he couldn't interrupt you to let you know that he was in fact a barrister.
