Daniels is going into year 5. Come on man. At this point he is what he is. He got away with his athleticism his entire career but if you don't learn the actual position it will eventually catch up with you.
Nuss will have growing pains but the upside is huge...he will make less bad plays over time. I'd love to see him the entire game against Purdue...he has the greatest chance to improve between the two simply due to age. Btw, nuss would certainly have more ints than what Daniels had, but so would Daniels if he actually pushed the ball down field.

I’m not sure where I stand on whether I personally want Daniels back or not, but there’s quite a few examples of QBs going from decent/good to great in Year5.
One in particular that we all know quite well.

Pure nonsense. ASU was a mess. And to act like someone can't improve at the ripe old age of 21 is, again, nonsense. This will be his first full offseason at LSU with the same staff and roughly the same players. He busted his arse this offseason to improve his game in limited time. No reason he can't do that same this year.

This is something you just can not know for sure. Plenty of QBs never get any better. He may be what he’s going to be.
No one is saying JD is perfect or even a great QB. He’s not. He’s decent and does some things well. I don’t think any of us are saying Nuss is always going to be terrible or that he doesn’t also have an upside. I think most of us are just saying calm down and let it play out. Stop crowing Nuss king (because you simply don’t know how he would do as the starter. It may be good, it may go south real quick). Stop shitting all over JD like he’s the worst thing to ever happen to LSU. Is he flawed as a QB? Absolutely. But he’s not nearly as horrible as some of you are making him out to be. We did win the west after all, we did beat Bama (something only the 2019 team has done lately). I really think LSU is going to be okay under BK. If we aren’t, he will be fired in several years. I can guarantee you if that happens, he won’t leave us in nearly as piss poor shape as Ed “shrimp boats and hoes” Orgeron left us.
