Yall kill me.

Boutte dropped 2 TDs in the first game. Bouute barely jump for what would have been a TD vs UGA. I mean he has to throw it over the DB, but Boutte barely jumped for it (see how WRs did that for Burrow in 2019). Boutte caught the ball at the one yard line vs Arkansas and couldn't muscle one yard (guys like Chase and Jefferson did that for Burrow in 2019).

Jenkins dropped what would have been either a long gain or a long TD vs Tennessee.

They did a no call TD pass with Mason Taylor vs UAB

Lacy dropped what would have been damn near walk in TD vs TAMU.

Multiple TD passes were called back during the year because of penalties. Many 3rd down drops that hit them right in the hands.

If I go back and watch games, I could probably come up with a couple more, but my God the receivers were inconsistent the entire year.

In all honesty, despite his flaws and the team's flaws, Daniels should have had over 3000 passing yards and at least 20 TD passes had WRs really shown their talent. Also vs UGA he had 204 and a TD averaging 8.7 per pass. If he was healthy for the 2nd half, he could have easily hit 400 passing yards with 2-3 pass TDs, and you'd be looking at a 3000 yard passer with 18 TD passes 820 rush yards and 11 TD rushes.

Because he didn't play the 2nd half vs UGA, he's going to need about 400 total yards and 3 TDs in the bowl game to hit 4000 total yards and 30 total TDs.

Sorry our WRs don't make miraculous catches on the one throw your qb attempts out of every 10 pass plays called

If I was a WR I’d be so fricking surprised that actually threw the ball I’d drop it too

Well that was a fine job of picking plays to support your position.
I'll just use one example of where a receiver not only caught an awful pass but he scored a TD on the play.
I'm sure you can recall the wounded duck that JD underthrew to Jenkins such that Jenkins had to come back about 5 yds to catch the ball and the two defenders were expecting a better thrown pass and therefore out of position, and Jenkins scored....and guess what, JD not only got a reception stat but also a TD stat...on what might have been the worst of many very poor throws he made this year. JD was a fine runner and scrambler, but he was less than average as a thrower of all routes. He was ok throwing 5-10 hitches where the receiver fell down or tackled immediately. Quite frankly I could make most of those throws today, and I'm 76 years old.
You totally missed the actual throwing ability of JD by listing useless stats, which didn't begin to tell the story. Nuss, in one half, showed all of us what a real thrower can do and how much it enlivened our receivers. Yes, he has a lot to learn but he has the cannon to make big plays that LSU is so much in need of on offense.
