It will absolutely help college football and I could even see the playoff expanding again in the future. At the end of the day the bowls are only good for bragging rights by fans. Many players see it as a game that means nothing and don't want to get hurt for no reason and I get it. Being in the playoffs changes that completly for the teams that make it.
