General consensus amongst those on tv? Yes
Maybe I’m just contrarian but it can’t be that cut and dry to me.
USC and Ohio State have the same regular season record. I can’t say that Ohio States loss is any “better” than USC’s. Are we going to punish USC for winning their division?
It’s irrelevant but I truly can’t wrap my head around how you have Bama over Tenn.
it’s like we start the season in the default position that the playoff teams are set. UGA, Bama, Ohio State, Clemson are in. Everyone else has to prove BEYOND THE SHADOW OF A DOUBT, that they deserve it/ are better. It’s just a shite system
I’ll go on the record, if Bama gets in I’m done with college football

Utah has a better case than USC. Neither team has a better case than TCU so it’s irrelevant

One was to a 3 loss team and one was to an undefeated team. Also USC's QB is hurt, that weighs in as well

Those teams are 45-5 combined. I mean wtf do you want them to do to not be in the conversation. They all should be in the top 10
