Charles Rogers had 36 receptions for 440 yards and 4 touchdowns in two years.

Meachem has 8 receptions for 244 yards and 2 touchdowns in two years.

Not ready to call Meachem a bust, but it ain't looking good as he's on a one way train to bust town right now.

Its not like Meach is not playing, he is a limited role guy. He is in there for blocking purposes on runs, and as for passing plays he is pretty much exclusively a deep route guy. And as we know the deep routes are not always open.

Because time and time again they break the huddle and he has no idea where to line up. Until his dumb arse learns the playbook he is a liability. He is in coach's doghouse b/c of the Minn game where we cost us points

Still "learning" the offense. Not running routes precisely. other guys doing a better job.

who would you sit to let him play? Colston, Devery, Moore?

One was a #2 pick, the other was #27. I give the #27 a pass more than a #2. Plus, the #27 was out his rookie year with an injury.

Seriously, do people just forget that it usually takes many WRs close 3 years to "get it"

The guy's come up with some good catches and will likely be a bigger playmaker in the future, so I'm definitely pulling for him.

Injury??? Charles Rogers played in 14 games in three years because of injury.
As far as draft position, from the same draft Steve Breaston was a fifth rounder, Chansi Stuckey was a seventh rounder and Anthony Gonzalez was picked 5 spots later, Sidney Rice was 17 spots later, Dwayne Jarrett 18 spots later and Steve Smith 24 spots later and they have all out performed him. (And we are in a more pass friendly offense)

Not ready to call him an out and out bust, but I don't think you can really defend him either.

I can defend him. However, you bring up a very good point about Rodgers missing a lot of time his first three years. However,I wouldn't be throwing out Jarrett or Syd Rice. I wouldn't take either of them over Meachem...yet. And Gonzalez was picked to play slot. He wouldn't make it on the outside. Meachem is not a slot receiver. Sheet, even Stokely had great years with Indy in the slot. Indy puts their TE in the slot.

ETA: I think you could play slot WR for Indy.
