Interesting - maybe our WRs don't walk on water like we think they do??

Watch Daniels' freshman highlights and he's hanging the ball up for Brandon Aiyuk to go and get over and over again. Aiyuk caught 65 balls for almost 1200 yards that year.

Nobody on this team came close to that.

And you can't blame that on play calling. We called tons of downfield passes that ended in sacks or QB runs or dump-offs. Yes, Daniels needs to read a defense better and to turn it loose more.

But if anybody on our team was playing at the level Aiyuk did for Arizona State in 2019, Daniels would be using that guy as a crutch. Nobody did, and because they weren't getting open and making plays on that level Daniels was taking off running.

Not to mention that none of these guys broke tackles or made anybody miss all year long, which is what good receivers can do.

Game one, drive one and Daniels hangs up one for 7. 7 failed to hang on. Apparently that was the rule and not the exception because our WRs have not made many tough catches.
Some of that is because Daniels hasn’t thrown many 50/50 balls but some of that is because our WRs aren’t sure handed or physical as we saw in the end zone last Saturday night.
