I have to say though, from the tone of your post, it sounded more like you were giving him a hard time for capitalizing on the free market

I don’t understand how you can read a tone, it’s typed words (try reading it again in a Donald Duck voice and emphasize the part about me selling things to take away the perceived tone). I understand how you can assume something, which often proves wrong. I actually put in the response that I like to extract the most value when selling things. I am not blaming anyone for doing that. I do, however, think it is comical that others cannot recognize how that can come across negatively when it takes away opportunities from someone that could afford something (in this case to send their daughter to a concert) at a face value price so that the person could make money and sell to someone to send their rich kid. There was nothing innovative about it and it was driven by greed. I would be a hypocrite to give anyone a hard time about that having sold things to the highest bidder plenty of times.

I don’t think it was some terrible act of greed or some wise business decision that involved risk and reward. I actually have no opinion on someone that sells tickets higher than face value or PlayStations at three times the MSRP or dealerships that try to sell vehicles to customers at prices $10k higher than MSRP. I was simply pointing out that I can see how it rubs people the wrong way and was surprised others could not understand that.

Tone wasn't the best choice of words for me to use. What made me think that you were busting his balls about it was using the phrase "people like you" three times in your post because that phrase is often used to disparage someone by associating them with a group of other people that are looked down upon for various reasons. I appreciate you clarifying...it doesn't sound like that was your intent. My mistake for reading more into it than what was written.
