Iam thinking about purchasing a Bradley Smoker in the very near future. I have recently discovered some articles the Weber Smokey Mountian style smokers were people that own them swear by them.
My question is how many people on this forum own either of these units? What are the pro's and con's of each?
If you had to buy one of these models which would one would you buy again?
I presently own a Brinkerman electric model thatI am very dissapointed in. It is not manufactured very well and allows a lot of the smoke escape from it. It is also very hard to control the tempature in the electric smoker. The crushed Lava Rocks burn out way to quickly.

I did they breifly talk about both of these smokers But I would like to hear some more from peole who have these units. Both units cost around 299-399 which is not cheap. I just want to get the best possible smoker for the money.

I have a WSM and I paid $200 for it. I think it's a great smoker for the price. It's very good at maintaining temp's and I can usually get a good 9-hr smoke out of one set of coals. The water pan is a little small, but like it was stated before, just get a pan from a brinkman and use that.

yep, along with a bigger access door to the heat source, bigger water pan, higher roof dome, more sturdy legs, etc.

Wait there is a new WSM?? Hmmm Of course I am more than happy with mine.. Best BBQ investment you can make unless you want to spend 1500 or more.
