As I've gotten older I've found this to be true. Everyone gets stressed out around the holidays trying to make things "perfect" for everyone and it never happens. Something always goes wrong. And that's the stuff we remember. As time gets farther from the event, most of it just becomes a funny story....
Bird is off the smoker and in a cooler resting. We eat at friends in about 90 mins... Cheers everyone!
