Best dog I've ever owned... pedigree, temperment, and personality are unbelievable. Super obedient and just an all around perfect pup.
Would like a similar looking (dark coat, blocky head) female within a few hours of the Northshore.
TIA

Good looking dog! Where did you get him?

Have any K9data on him?

Who in their right mind, would take such a majestic, beautiful animal, and then breed it with a fricking poodle?!?
Sorry for the short rant, but I’ve been dealing with the wife and her friends all wanting the newest popular breed on fbook… a golden doodle

I have one that’s coming of age in the next year or so but based on your username I think those puppies would be inbred as hell.

But a little line-breeding can be a good thing.

That's where I picked up mine. Dad was from the hunting line (Henry I think) so he was on the red side. Mom was a cream color more show dog type. Came out with lighter color coat and it's not as long as other Goldens which is nice. Does shed like a mofo though

Let me know if you plan on getting him genetic tested. I don't see any genetic testing for the mom and looks like dad is a carrier for ichtyosis and PRA.
Here's the K9 data for mine. She comes from some high-powered lines. Still not 100% sure if I'm going to breed here but she's not even a year and a half so I have a decent bit of time to decide.

Happy to
Is there a preferred vendor or specific test? Who can assess results for compatibility? I have no prior experience here

I know the Embark panel is used by a lot of breeders.
Once all genetic and health testing is done you can do test breedings through the K9data website where you enter the potential parents. It’ll show a breakdown of all genetics for the planned litter.

Those two pups look just like the pups of a couple I know in Birmingham. Probably not them, but its uncanny.
