Gonna get fitted for a new driver soon and was just thinking if there is a better time to buy one. Is there a particular time when maybe they go on sale or new models come out?

When you break the old driver over your knee.

When you catch yourself teeing off with a long iron or 3-wood. 100% chance the driver itself sucks and not the swing.
I would know -- I'm looking at new drivers this weekend.

February/March is usually the new release time period. You can usually start scoring last year’s model cheaper then.

Ping is releasing their new G430 in the spring here in the states. It’s been released in the Asian market already.

Right after the company files for bankruptcy
New cycle hits after first of the year… the previous cycle gets dropped by about $50.
Driver tech has not changed much lately. Get a head that fits your swing and throw money at the right shaft that optimizes that head.

That's kinda where I'm at. I'm still on the Ping G30 and hit it great. Distance is not a problem at all. I can still pop an occasional 300 yarder after roll and probably 275ish is standard. Why change? To pick up 3yds? Nah, I'm good.
