I wouldn't mess with it. Call them, that is what you pay them for.

It's 10 minutes for them and they have the proper tools. For you, you'd have to buy them and then honestly, you'd probably frick it up.
My company does a LOT of fiber optic terminations.

1. Are you talking about the connector in the modem/router, or the connector on the cable(s) you have connected to the modem/router?
If it's the connector in the modem/router, call ATT.
2. If it's the connector on one of the cables, is it the cable coming from your wall into the modem/router, or is it the cable coming out of the modem/router into your computer?
If coming out of your wall, call ATT. If it's the cable going to your computer, just replace it yourself. A new Ethernet cable will cost you a few dollars and save your the aggravation of having a tech come out.

Yeah, that's their proprietary line. Better to just not mess with it.

Pretty sure it's just a fiber jumper

Is it? I haven't looked behind that book case in a while

But still, for a neophyte, I'd probably just leave it be.

My fiber comes out the wall to a converter box. Fiber in, patch cable out, which connects to the modem/router. If I am reading this correctly, just get a new patch cable. Maybe you have a different setup than mine though
