Shades of Vic Eumont in the late 80's. Left a good gig at KU at the time to come coach at his alma mater.
I heard Salt mouthed off to Gallagher and he thought the HC alumni money ( Watson and Blitch) would back him up. Did not happen . Personally I like Gallagher he reminds me of Brother Robert back about 40 yrs ago

It did not work out well with Andy Canizaro as the baseball coach, but that is a completely scenario.
