LSU has won the last five meetings, and seven of the last eight matchups. Over the last twenty meetings, the series is tied 10-10.

Bama is beating LSU badly overall, 43-23-5.

LSU/Bama games that jump out at me, in no particular order:

LSU wins:

- In 1982, beating them 20-10 at Legion Field. I believe we held Bama to no first downs in the 1st half. We ended Bama's 11-game winning streak in the series.

- In 1993, beating them 17-13 in Tuscaloosa when no one gave us a chance. They had a long unbeaten streak going into the game and our season was in the tank. Hallman, Chad Loup and Ivory Hilliard pulled it out of their arse for the big upset.

- The 2001 season...Rohan Davey to Josh Reed...early and often. We beat them 35-21 in Tuscaloosa. Reed broke the SEC record for most receiving yards in a game with 293.

- In 2005, JaMarcus Rusell hits Dwayne Bowe for the winner in overtime...LSU wins 16-13 in Tuscaloosa. I believe Bama had only one loss or was undefeated at the time.

- In 2007, Saban faces LSU for the first time since he left. Tigers come back with dramatic 41-34 victory in Tuscaloosa. Flynn to Doucet tied the game up before Chad Jones' sack of John Parker Wilson led to a fumble and subsequent Hester TD run for the winning margin.

Losses:
- In 1999, Josh Booty tries to run in for the TD in the waning seconds but is stopped short. Tide wins 23-17 in Tuscaloosa.

- In 1996, with the SEC West on the line, LSU laid a huge egg. ESPN Gameday was on campus, and LSU entered the game with just one loss. Shaun Alexander rushed for a school-record 291 yards and four touchdowns that night.

Ties:
In 1985, LSU misses FG at end of game to win it. Game ended 14-14 in Baton Rouge. Was it Ronnie Lewis that missed it? I just remember it being on the left hashmark, and watching on TV as the Bama fans in the South end zone went crazy when he missed it.
