Bowl projection update

As none of the experts predict LSU will beat UGA, it's Sugar or Cotton. 247 says Cotton v. UCF. Last time we faced UCF in a bowl in turned out ok and we went on a 16-game win streak.
Their logic is they think Bama jumps us in the rankings as we'll have three losses (assuming we lose to UGA), and Bama then goes to the Sugar. I'm not convinced it goes down that way, but could also see why the might think that. TCU is predicted as the Sugar Bowl opponent.
I'll go to either, but would prefer Sugar v. TCU for obvious reasons.

If Bama jumps LSU as punishment for playing an extra game against the undisputed number 1 team in the country, the whole playoff committee needs to dissolve and bring back the BCS rankings.

I’m assuming that they are projecting Tennessee in the CFP then?
LSU to the Sugar Bowl doesn’t seem very likely to me. I think it’s either CFP or Cotton.
With a loss to UGA, we only go to the Sugar Bowl if we are still ranked ahead of Alabama AND Tennessee gets a playoff spot. If Tennessee gets left out they’ll be ranked ahead of us.
With a win over UGA, we only go to the Sugar Bowl if we get left out of the playoffs.

Yet again, Bama wins by losing. Sugar has a historic bias against LSU b/c we will not fill hotels/restaurants/bars/brothels like the Gumps will. Bowl games are not about rewarding the most deserving team, they are about filling the host city’s coffers during the holiday travel lull.

If not playoffs, would love the cotton bowl.
