It looked like the off duty cop in the body camera footage showed he was driving a white Elantra

When should we expect this to go to trial?
ETA: just saw where the state is requesting a 6 week trial to be scheduled for summer of 2024

They waited till Christmas break so it could be done low key.

I don’t agree with tearing it down from a trial prospective. The ability for any jurors to see the actual place this happened can make a huge difference. But for those grieving I can understand.

I really hope this goes to trial because I really want some answers as to why he did this.

Yeah. With a split level and people in multiple different rooms it would have been nice for the jury to see the house (assuming the judge would have allowed it).

I still think he is convicted, but having the jury see where it happened could defiantly sway them.

Actually from the news report I saw on TV, just the opposite. The families of those murdered did NOT want the house razed, they wanted to keep it through the trial. It was the university and owner of the house who asked it be torn down. The police and prosecutors okayed the decision.

I saw this as well. A real bad move for the prosecutors.

I don't think it matters one bit.
They have likely 3D scanned every square inch of that building, photographed and videoed it multiple times, and built models. I'm sure they have everything they would ever need.

Agreed, don’t think it will matter either that it was torn down.
What was the deal with the house again? The owner sold it to the university or gave it to them perhaps? Been awhile.

Doesn’t compare to a walkthrough. That’s why jurors are taken on location at times

They probably have so much on this dude.
The initial affadavit thing had him dead to rights.
I bet it’s piled up in all this time since.

There were rumors going around that Ethan Chapin had a beef with someone from another frat group and it persisted up to the week when they were all killed. Whether that had any connection to the killings, who knows.
The truth is that there isn’t any clear-cut evidence that Kohberger actually killed them. All his legal team has to do is raise the doubts, and the judge will let him walk. And based on how there is so little evidence as of right now, they won’t have any problems doing that.

Should have left the house standing. This case to a huge turn toward the defense when they tore it down.
