I have accepted that most people don’t care

We here on Political Talk care about the political and economic state of America but most people couldn’t give a frick less.
I think it’s bad that these highly contested states are harvesting votes a week after the election and tampering with the electoral process, but I’m just an angry white evangelical shaking my fist
Most people have moved on to the next big thing on Tik Tok.. if they were even paying attention in the first place.. or are conditioned to believe this is what a normal functioning democracy looks like.
2020 is the norm for them and they are just happy the government is letting them interact with their friends again

Democrats work polls, volunteer to work libraries, volunteer for your local boards.
That's why they have taken over institutions. Republicans are hands off compared to the motivated Democrat.

Most republicans I know work 40 hour/ week jobs, or are pursuing a professional career that takes them beyond 40 hours. Plus many of the younger ones are raising kids, so they don't need to find things to politically attach themselves to like Democrats.

I raise two children and work 50-60 hours a week to make things work and still find time to be involved with my community’s politics
Not to be cliche but “It just means more” to the Democrats. They see politics as some kind of existential battle and if they don’t win their way of life will end as they know it.

In other words…..

Working to support these people. Working class works to support those who vote themselves our money.

The kinda hardcore ones I know (beyond those who are programmed by MSM) are some miserable people. Truth is they're more authoritarian than they know because most of them lack self awareness.
It's their religion.

Gonna suck when they crash it all down.

Some may say they are smarter than the 40hr guy. Winning elections = guarantee money. Big money. Name a poor elected politician. There aren’t any. They ALL get super wealthy in office. So easy.

So, I will do everything I can to influence them, but accept their free will to sin. If more on the right had this same perspective, then maybe the abortion lovers would recognize that they can have their godless blue states as long as they accept we will not have it. I've always thought this was one of the beautiful things about our Republic. Don't like things here -- leave and go somewhere more aligned with your views. Hate the sin; love the sinner.

Absolutely agree. Americans deserve the shite we are in. They're the ones forcing us into an eventual situation that can only be solved with violence and it is a terrifying thought.

This is what happens when man interferes with natural selection. Those who are incapable of survival, not only survive, but thrive and multiply. Idiocracy is being played out before our very eyes. Pretty soon, we’ll be pouring Brawndo on our crops. It’s got electrolytes. It’s what plants crave.

There's tradeoffs to life. That lifestyle will avail them nothing if progressives continue to reign.
Conservatives are far too materialistic to be successful vs motivated democrats. Leaving your future to politicians is a losing effort.

If it makes you feel better I don't think you're an angry white evangelist. Personally I would go with weak minded conspiracy theorist who is willing to believe everything and anything so they don't have to deal with the facts.
If you honestly think PT is reflective of the United states electorate, you are fricking insane. MAGA simply isn't going to win elections, they appeal to a narrow band of voters. The core Republican party has been propping them up by straight ticket votes for the more sane ones, but some of the real wingnuts, no sane person can put them in office, so they simply don't vote for them.
Meanwhile core MAGA is refusing to vote for anyone they perceive is RINO (AKA anyone not sufficiently loyal to Trump).
shite like vote harvesting, creating ballots, machine hackings, mystical FBI raiding to stop stealing votes, vote stealing, etc...
You guys sound like a buncha lunatics who can't own up to your shortcomings and always need to find an excuse why < 25% of the electorate isn't winning all the time.
Stop attacking your own party. Own up to your wingnuts and reign them in. Make the platform reach out to voters in the center, and FFS put a muzzle on Trump so he stops attacking his own party, or put his arse out to pasture.
Do that and you'll win elections by 60% and you can stop having to perform mental gymnastics to understand why nutbars don't get elected.

Not a lot of people actually know what famine is. Many still have their heads in the sand and refuse to get involved bc it doesn't affect them personally. Unfortunately it works that way for a lot of things. Gotta actually experience the suffering before they do something

Kansas, an incredibly red state may disagree here. The "red" states implementing abortion laws are doing so via their legislators.
To my knowledge only two red states have allowed the people a voice (and when I say allow, I mean the courts forced them too).
Kansas soundly rejected it. (Voters here knew the legislature had already drawn up a total ban with no exemptions and had a super majority).
Kentucky has seemingly narrowly rejected it. 52.4% currently.
While red states tend to vote for more conservative Christian Republicans, not all Republicans are conservative Christians. I am a fiscal conservative, but I realize having the candidate be a bible thumper most often is the price of business to get the Christian right, who gives a frick less about fiscal conservatism, to vote for them. We compromise.
Doesn't mean I want my daughter to be forced to carry some dead rapists baby. (Cuz I assure you they'd never find his body).
