WTF is that ?

How can that trash dominate all 10 spots on the pop chart

I use to kinda like her when she was country

Haven’t listened to it but gotta admit she’s a guilty pleasure for me.
I probably went 25 years without listening to a single pop music song. Now I have a ten year old daughter who loves Taylor. And I gotta admit, some of it is really catchy and fun. Add that she’s relatively wholesome, and I can dig it

I couldn’t listen to it. I thought the Folklore album was fantastic and the other acoustic album she did after that was pretty good too. This one wasn’t my cup of tea

That is like expressing disappointment in the new packaging on your box of tampons.

Too much music and too few minutes in life to listen to that. Not saying it's good or bad, but too few minutes in life, and so much music undiscovered. Twitter and Farcebook won't tell me what I should be listening to.

The new album is not wholesome .
Plenty of F bombs

Think she is making an effort to make her target audience older

The wife showed me a tiktok theory on the album which is pretty cool the more you think about it.

So the album is based off of dreams she had. A lot of the songs on this album have the same beat and rhythm of past songs but stripped down. Think of it as your conscience playing one of you favorite songs in your head. You can still do task but you might be tapping to the beat without realizing it.

So the theory is that a basic rhythm of her old songs are playing in her dreams but she has a new dream over it. Basically a simple beat of her older songs but with new lyrics.

They have some videos out there in it. Take a watch, pretty cool

Think of it as lacking any original ideas, so she just recycles the old ones, but "stripped down". She sucks.

With F bombs? Sounds more like she's wanting to cling to the young ones, along with the older people that are impressed by stupid shite like that.

I disagree with this. But I would like her to work with someone other that Jack antanoff. Her folklore/evermore stuff with Aaron desner producing I like better. I also think it pushed her to do new things.

She's like a female Ed Sheeran. Incredibly popular, even more annoying than popular, with next to zero talent.

Taylor Swift, Fearless, and Speak Now were incredible. Everything after that except for a few songs is trash.

You had no choice but to listen, and your ear got used to it to the point of liking her music. There's a psychologic term for that, I forgot what is called.

My wife (no pics) played Coldplay so much I ended up liking their music.

She has a talent for writing songs that appeal to the LCD/basic/teenybopper crowd. Her music is terrible but she has made a ton of money. Just like Ed Sheeran. It's no wonder that they've collaborated.
