That was my last year of drinking. I'd black out for several days. It was hell on earth. I've now made 6 years without a drop.

AA was critical the first 2 years. I've slowly slipped away from AA meetings but I still practice what I've learned. Ive surrounded myself with good people and don't run from my past.

It can be done. My life is better now than it's ever been before. Not bad from a guy who's parents had already bought a burial plot for.
