no, you're just not supposed to boo. It's your right to boo, but booing just makes you a douche exercising his right to boo.

This is 100% correct.

Most people were not booing Lee. They were booing the coaches decision to put in Lee when Jefferson needs reps and Lee was destined to throw a pick 6 if he was kept in (which he did).

Because some morons dont understand that we have a RS freshman starting in the SEC and he's going to make mistakes. You never boo a college player...never. Pros are a little different. I would personally never boo my favorite team but atleast they're getting paid.

No, you don't have to do anything.
One of my best/proudest moments ever in TS was after the late 90+ yard screen pass for a TD against UGA in '03. The student section started chanting LSU, LSU...got everyone back into the game. It was awesome. THAT is fan support.
Now...we sound like a bunch of spoiled whiners.

You sir are correct! I went to LSU in the 1980s when a 2 loss season was a huge accomplishment and a National Title was just a fantasy. I sat through many 4 win seasons not to appreciate what we've done this decade.

We do have great fans!!!!!!! I think the best in the country, but the bad karma is creeping around. Does it matter that Lee is 19 and a freshman? What if it was your kid?

first of all i never said i boo'd lee. the only team i boo'd saturday was tulane when they took the field. lee was having a bad day throwing the ball saturday and calling that play was not smart by the coaches. i feel bad for this kid because he needs something positive to happen.

Last night when the booing started after Lee had thrown the pick six...yes, I hate them too, and go oh shite...what the hell was he thinking after every one...Lee was down on the turf, hurt. People started booing. It made me think, "this must be what Philadelphia fans are like."

I haven't booed Lee but it's getting really old saying "You're not supposed to boo". Guess what, last night we played Tulane, not an SEC school. Lee was absolutely terrible after being terrible the week before, also. He is not learning anything from his mistakes. We don't have another QB that we can turn to, but Lee has progressively gotten worse. I see zero improvement in his game and it's way past the "he's a RS freshman" argument. Even a freshman QB can get better, but he is getting worse.
99 yards...that's how many yards he passed for against a vaunted Tulane team.
Like I said, I don't encourage booing, and I don't boo, but can you really not understand why people boo? Especially after he throws his 5th pick 6 and the coach said JJ would play, but then Lee comes back out.

Very disappointed with the "new" fanbase. Look, I'm the most A type personality out there; uber competitive. And, yes. I want my sports teams to win.
But, more importantly, I appreciate that this is a college sport. That is, you are dealing with 18 yr old kids who are constantly rotating out to real life every year. So, this year we have no experienced QB, but bou coup talent every other position. So, yes, its disappointing not to win every game.
But perspective, sprinkled with a bit of experience and history, tells me we are not going to win every game. And, no, its not the kids' fault. And, believe it or not, its not always the coach's fault.
You can't argue its poor coaching from Les --- he's just won a NC, so he's doing something right. And, the kids are busting their arse every game ... they never quit. That's all I can hope for given the green QB situation we have. Personally, I think Lee is doing just fine, given his age, experience and that he's playing QB in the SEC on national TV --- something 99.9% of the schmucks on this board can't even begin to imagine the stress level that brings.
Again, do I want them to win every game? Yes. But I also know the facts. Our boys are working hard and they will improve and be competitive. I just hope Lee gains the confidence he's going to need by next Saturday to beat Bama.

We are in the Golden years of LSU football, but the ranters really do expect to win every game w/ zero turnovers, no first downs for any team we face, & of course every game must be shutout with us scoring 65 points...and the ranters STILL would not be happy.

I just hope Les calls the boobirds out on the radio show this week, about how destructive that can be to team morale

Never ever boo an amature(sp) athlete. I want to get on too the people who were booing but they were still at the game. Tho they may have had nowhere else to go they were still there.
