Ehhh… Olave’s ceiling is Marvin Harrison. He has elite potential.
Hindsight being 20/20 it would sure be nice to have the 2023 pick, but this team is much worse than anyone really expected. If we’re even hovering around .500 it’s a good trade in hindsight.
We’re making too big a deal about this I think.
ETA: as of right now I believe that pick would be #7 overall, which wouldn’t be high enough to grab Stroud, Young or Levis, anyway.

Going just a little further back, I see a TON of Isaac Bruce in his game.
SO HAPPY to admit to being wrong on him coming out... I thought he was not quite big enough while being not quite fast enough at his size, but he absolutely is the real deal. Already better route running ability and ability to separate and get open than most NFL receivers that play 7-8 years.
Add in the fact that his frame almost certainly can handle another 12-15 lbs of muscle over the next 2-3 years... already is, but REALLY gonna be special!
