I get turner.
they get Val who can't defend perimeter or especially the pick n roll.
they get hope.

I don't do this deal for laker 23 pick if the nba rules prevent me from negotiating turners deal until after the season.

You get Turner, a guy that you’ll have to overpay to stay and someone that’s not really as good as people make him out to be. He’s a stat padder on the current Pacers team, here he would become a 10 ppg guy who is disgruntled and will demand to be traded because he thinks he should be a #1 option

And for that you’re trading away a top end lottery pick from what’s currently the 2nd worst team in the NBA.
