Update 10 pm Friday, day of rescue:
ETA for posterity: 11/4/22 text from James on Rico with his pic:
“He's very cautious and slow moving
but he drank a lot and I checked his
body for pain and ticks and he seems
fine. But we got hit by the last 3 cars
in the pile up, I'm sure he's feeling it
still and being out there like that.
That's his spot of the house on the
chair. He's been sitting there most of
the day.
Man that page got my boy back for me bro. You all helped me find my best friend”

Sorry, Tanden, but can we make Rico the official OT mascot??
One of my pups disappeared for
3 days, when we found her her paws were raw, she didn’t eat, and like Rico drank a lot. For about a week, she ventured out of her pokey only to potty. She was seriously traumatized, but unlike Rico she was in a totally rural area with no interstate traffic. He’s a good boy with a good Dad and will bounce back beautifully.
