Maybe in some places. My kids love trunk r treats, they can be fun. They've been to at least 3 already (2 schools we attend, church by the house), and we had "tent r treat" camping this weekend, and they'll go trick or treating tonight.

Halloween is on a school night which stinks and typically means kids are done before it's even dark. My hometown would often schedule trick or treating for a non-school night. It's fricking convenient, and more fun in the dark, so who cares? It's not a religious holiday for 99.99% of the country.

To each their own, but I am okay with this.
