I am thinking of going on a 7 day Alaska cruise one NCL Bliss for honeymoon. Has anyone ever been or has any other suggestions? Neither of us have ever been on a cruise before. TIA

Celebrity and Princess do Alaska the best among the mainstream lines.

I recommend going on YouTube to view cruise ship video tours.

Flying RT to Seattle will be cheaper than splitting the trip btn Seattle and an Alaskan port. Also cheaper than flying RT to Vancouver.

May and September are much cheaper but it will be colder.

Alaska cruises are some of the more expensive itineraries.

Since you’ve never cruised before, you might want to use a travel agent.

I’ve always heard princess and Holland did alaska best. I’ve had multiple Covid cancellations on each line but plan to do this in the next couple years.

That will be great.
I have been on two Alaskan cruises but both have been on Holland America. Enjoyed them very much. Spectacular scenery.

I have been on a bunch of NCL cruises to other destinations. The thing I like best about NCL cruises is the food in the specialty restaurants.

If you begin or end in Vancouver I suggest staying extra days and dividing your time between Vancouver and Victoria which is a ferry ride away.

2nd this. Add a day trip to Whistler too.

We did a 10 day land & sea Princess cruise 5+- years ago; ended in Vancouver. We enjoyed it very much but I don’t think I would want to do it for a honeymoon. Not sure why, a small ship cruise seems like that might be a better honeymoon option - but I haven’t done one.

Just got back. From Seattle itinerary’s are not great. Lots of short days inland look and compare dates and times. Def get Spa Balcony Suite and book mandarin spa membership, you’ll be there a lot . Def pic a date that has Glacier Bay on itinerary . Inside passage is the way to go for first timer. Pre book ur restaurants at the 60 day mark. Heavy on Blu and Cagneys. Book starboard balcony if leaving from Seattle. Go early and stay at least two nights in downtown Seattle . NCL is first class if Encore is available I’d book it instead of Bliss. Alaska Air has nonstops from NOLA def take advantage of that.

I’ve done two Alaskan cruises. Both on Celebrity. Both times we splurged for the aft balcony rooms. It was worth every damn penny. Alaska is gorgeous. Do the cruise then plan to go back on land.
