Why has no one talked about how severely underthrown Daniel's two deep passes were?

vs. Ole Miss. First drive to Brian Thomas was insanely underthrown. Was called a DPI because Thomas had to cut so hard back to the ball and ran into the DB.
Second deep pass was the first TD pass to Jaray. Was legit in double coverage and underthrown by 10 yards. It should have been in the back of the end zone (or just thrown earlier in general) but Jaray had to run back to catch it on the 2 yard line.
We're acting like he is prime Aaron Rodgers because he had two decent games passing despite having average air yards of 5.4 yds. This is absolutely terrifying going into Alabama. I'm literally shaking.

Was a video of Daniels underthrowing receivers at practice before the Ole Miss game. Totally part of the ALIGNMENT

go back and watch that play again. Jenkins was wide open streaking down the sideline. As you said, though, it was severely underthrown, and THAT is the reason any of the Ole Miss players were anywhere near the play. But Jenkins wasn't even close to being double covered. Once the corner dropped down to cover the flat, Jenkins was all alone running down the sideline... it was just a severely underthrown pass.

Stop being such a girl. Yes the BTJ pass was underthrown. The Jenkins was a toss up. A) He was not double covered, he was behind the zone and wide open by 10 yards B) had he thrown it to the back of the endzone it likely is contested C) Jenkins was his 4th option so he got to him late D) Coaches have asked him to put the ball up in favorable matches all year and that's exactly what he did.
The two DBs were full spring running to get Into position and Jenkins made a great play.
At the end of the day, Daniels is not a great thrower of the football but he is currently playing the QB position as good as anyone in the country.

JD is definitely improving overall each week, and I am very happy to see that for both JD and the team, BUT those two deep passes were severely underthrown. That's is the truth whether we want to talk about it or not. Hopefully that too will improve before we beat Bama. Geaux Tigers!

You don’t want a legit answer, but it’s because he’s actually throwing them. With our WRs, even under thrown passes 1) give our guys a chance to make a play, 2) make for easy PIs, and 3) keeps the defense honest to allow us to do our other stuff.
Those 25 yard strikes to the other hash to pick up 3rd and longs are as important as deep ball TDs. Him just finally letting the ball go downfield opens up a pout 3 or 4 other things in the offense.

There's a difference in a backshoulder throw and an underthrow by 10 yards

Nowhere close to the same situation. Burrow throws backshoulder because the defender is running step for step with Chase.
Daniels underthrew by 10 yards because he underthrew the ball on accident.
