What y'all think? Does Miles hire a capable DC after season's end or keep the 2 headed monsters? If yes, who does he bring in to replace them?

If he doesn't want to jeopardize his job, he'll hire an experienced defensive coordinator in the offseason.

Then that will show just how stupid he really his. That would only add to the dislike I already have for him.

I think he goes and gets another DC and they stay on as position coaches.

I don't think it's really fair to get rid of them after one season. There are several new starters on defense, but next year could be worse as far as youth goes.

I think we're stuck with these two guys until they either improve (doubtful) or they take the whole program down. Miles is a loyalist, possibly to his undoing.

I hate to say it, but I agree. He was loyal to Bill Clay when he was at OSU, and the Cowboy fans wanted that man's head on a platter. Les wanted to bring him to LSU but somebody (Skip maybe) stepped in and said no. I like Miles, but his job is to put the program first and his loyalty/friendships second. If he will not do that, either out of stubborness or stupidity, then he is harming LSU and he would need be forced to make changes or let go. And no, I don't mean fire him after this year. However, LSU has come too far to allow him to jeapordize the future. Dinardo wouldn't see the light and paid the price. Hopefully, Miles won't bring the same fate upon himself.

He will not fire or demote heckle & jeckle only after 1 year. I will be very surprised if he makes a move after the season.

IMO you are dead on, he has said repeatedly he is happy with the job they have done. I wish I had some of what he is smoking.

What if he keeps them both but makes one of them DC?

I think they will wait and see how the season progresses. If there is no to little improvement then I think the same people who told him he couldn't bring bill clay will tell him he has to replace the co-dcs.

Never was a fan of co-anything.
Someone and only one has to be responsible for their coaching position.

I fear this is probably going to be the case.
