Shell drops Vax mandate?

I work for one of Shell’s contractors and was just given notice by upper management that they have dropped their vaccine mandate. Any employees of Shell able to confirm? Would think this would be bigger news, as I have not seen anything on the news or web searches.

I like how they’re all about dropping it when it’s slowly being proven to be fraudulent.
Why did they mandate it in the first place? Could you sue shell if they forced you to take it and you got injured or died?

It will no longer be in effect on November 1st. Only lasted for 10 months. Glad I didn’t bow down to that tyrannical BS. I hear they are also offering, the ones that lost their job for non-compliance, their jobs back and hush money. Making them sign NDA’s

I held out getting the vax and missed out on quite a few large projects for the majors. My company never mandated it but since the unvaxxed weren’t allowed on their assets it still hurt the pockets. I’m quite surprised they’ve lifted their mandate. I get a general sense that, of the majors, their board is the most progressive of the lot. Apparently they plan to be out of Oil & Gas in the next decade according to their BoD, unless that is just lip service to appease a certain side.

Since the vaccine is only valid if you are “up to date,” the only real option is to cancel the mandate or continue losing employees.
Companies that fell for this scam largely did so under the assumption is was only two shots.

No. Most vaccines have immunity from liability. There may be a loophole since it was experimental and the FDA approved version was not given to the people. A friends wife took it and was dead in a month.

no, they have the edge since it was only a work requirement and you werent forced to take it, because you could just quit.

Bad news though, they've replaced it with a demand all pronouns must be stated and 3 drag queens must be employed for every 2 contractors.
