Doesn't Malik Willis (and Josh Allen) also have a complete cannon of an arm?
I just don't see how a NFL team could have him projected in the mid rounds this year. Late rounds wouldn't surprise me though.
The thing Daniels has on his side is his running ability. His speed & quickness are ridiculous. He also takes a hit very well for being so thin. Great ball security as well.

Sure but both make JD look like Tom Brady in terms of college passing/defense reading, at lower levels.
Hurts went in the 2nd and he has similar issues (and a comparable arm to JD). JD comes back and improves and that's a very likely draft ceiling
