I'm traveling to Melbourne this week for work. I'll be in Sale for a few days, Melbourne for a few days, and Adelaide for a few days. Any must-do activities or places to see?

nice gig you have ... whatever it is to take you to Oz. Melbourne is a great city to live in for sure (i did a while back).

Doesn't have the obvious stops like Sydney, but the food + wine (and coffee), music, outdoor spaces and art are top notch. St Kilda, the botanical garden, High Street, the Italian area are interesting. And it's certainly worth making your way to the Great Ocean Road.

If you are a wine drinker Penfolds would be high on my list. I know the home office is in Melbourne.

Great Ocean Rd - you probably wont have enough time
Catch a footy game at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (might be the off-season)
Crowne Casino - It's huge
Botanic Gardens
The Gaol
Queen Victoria Market

I'm not crazy about the food but oddly enough, they have great Italian.

I quit drinking coffee a few years ago and I'm not a fan of wine.

Go to Claypots seafood bar and you won’t be disappointed.

Eat a Moreton’s Bay Bug while there.

Old Gaol is really cool.

Go to Chloe’s Bar in the Young & Jacksons Hotel. This is Chloe:

Has kind of a Sazerac Bar feel to it.

Melbourne Museum is very nicely done and very much worth a visit. For art, the National Gallery of Victoria is nice.

In my experience Adelaid had the best selection and price on lose opal. There are several shops in vicinity of Hindley and King William Streets.
