Does Polian need to coach something in order to be the recruiting coordinator?

If not then he needs to have his hands removed from anything coaching related. He sucks and he has a poor attitude. He made comments in the preseason that we need to lower our expectations in the kicking game and last night he looked like a fricking idiot on the sidelines.

In order to be able to call recruits and recruit off-campus he has to be one of the 10 designated on-field assistant coaches.

As long as he’s counted as one of the 10 on field assistants sure. But you can’t replace him with another special teams coach. Or if you do you lose another position coach.

I dunno. With frank on staff I think we can afford to lose Polian. His coaching isn’t worth it

Polian is a great recruiter and we need him. Just because he is " officially called the Special teams coach, doesn't mean someone else can actually be helping him or running the special teams.

Illegal formation on punts and kickoffs? GTFO of here, the special teams are 100% on Polian. Dudes needs to go ASAP. Keeping a shitty coach around because he’s a good recruiter is a terrible excuse. We heard that shite with Peveto for years.

Context was we are spoiled because of our last two FG kickers. Most everybody understands that from the 30 or 20 threads already posted.
