Dude just dropped a “trust me bro” citing something he claims to have read 30 years ago as if it’s still representative to now.

Lithium reserves are a valid concern. But he misses on two points:
1)
His estimate is detached from reality saying that it couldn’t provide coverage period. Given current growth rate of EVs, they are expecting depletion not to occur until at least 70 years from now, depending on degree of recycling.

2)the gaps aren’t being ignored. And lithium ion batteries have finally hit a wall of development. Scientists are playing around with multiple of alternatives that don’t use lithium at all.

Sodium and calcium based batteries are seeing big breakthroughs in recent years.

The stupidest thing about this thread is people buying into the social media bots manipulating group think to the point that politics must be injected into every single position on any discussion about anything.

Its a fricking means of transportation not a call to war.
