I would imagine a lurking variable here is that Chic Fil A
1.) Prepares their food fresher than others and is constantly busy so they cant really just have items sitting under heat lamps
2.) They also have a tendency to take your order further out in the process.
Most Chic-Fil-A's these days seem to have people with Ipads taking orders several cars up from the normal order window.
If this is done by calculating the time from order to receiving your bag, both of those factors would extend wait times. The latter would produce what would appear to be longer wait times but in actuality is more efficient than a busy McDonalds that backs up their line for 15 minutes, then takes one order at a time to beat the counter.

Man is this a click bait headline. If you read the article they clearly tell you why.
*They get a ton more customers. From the article

quote:
But the reason for the higher wait times was because of the restaurant’s popularity. QSR said it found that Chick-fil-A drive-thru customers were waiting longer simply because the restaurants were busier than its competition.

The fact that they have 200% more customers in line than any of the other locations - not taken into consideration.

Now let’s do, how many cars at lunch and how much is served in comparison to each of the other places
Something tells me, this is quite cherry picked

CFA serves a lot more customers per store than any other fast food chain.
They also don’t play that “pull up” bullshite.
They also get my order right EVERY SINGLE TIME.
I’d also be interested to know how they’re measuring this. Is it from the time you get in line, or from the time you order? I call absolute bullshite that any other chain is fast than CFA from the point you order to the point you have your food.
