Achievement Unlocked: 3rd World Nation Status

Short Breitbart Article

quote:

The French national railroad company intended to help California build its high-speed rail from San Francisco to Los Angeles, but ended up leaving the state to pursue projects in war-torn North Africa, which the company said was a less “dysfunctional” place.

The New York Times published a lengthy essay on Sunday about how California’s “bullet train” failed — despite the fervent desire of Gov. Jerry Brown (D) that it be built, and the investments of both the Obama and Biden administration in its supposed construction.

quote:

“There were so many things that went wrong,” Mr. McNamara said. “SNCF was very angry. They told the state they were leaving for North Africa, which was less politically dysfunctional. They went to Morocco and helped them build a rail system.”

If only we can elect Gavin for President in 2024, I see a bright future ahead of us!!

It always cracks me up when lefties propose all these infrastructure projects and are then amazed when they turn into boondoggles because all the overbearing due diligence they also demand eats up all the time and money allotted.

Pretty wild to think that a project like the I-10 bridge over the Atchafalaya basin will never be allowed to happen ever again in this country.

Not to mention it took just over 2 years (if memory serves) to build the whole thing from start to finish.

It took 4 years to rebuild the Twin Spans? It's absolutely insane how difficult, time consuming, and costly getting an infrastructure project going these days can be, mostly due to local and state governments.

Some of it is local and state governments.

A good chunk of it is the EPA IMHO. Can’t disrupt the 14 Year Old Hoodrat Swallow mating grounds.

Yes, but now we are adding 'equity' into the equation
to avoid building racist highways.

Are the less racist if Culcha appropriates them, like I-12 at Drusilla?

Most in on Federal requirements…

Fed highway project in SE AL four lane HWY 84 was built in sections. One of the sections had to have a minority engineer office for the project and a minority contractor for the project…

Third section let with notice to proceed…. Out of 12 sections let can you guess which one was last to finish? Also sections 8 through 12 were let a year to two years after…
