its night time and a guy with a gun opens your car door. This all happened in like 2-3 seconds.

Who gives a frick what the kid did? He's some dumbass 17 year old eating a cheeseburger in his car completely minding his own business when some chucklefrick cop opens his door and puts a gun in his face and starts yelling to get out of the car. I have no clue what I would have done at 17 in the same situation, but I don't know that I wouldn't have freaked out and panicked with a gun suddenly pointed at me.
The cop is 100% at fault in every way and I wouldn't even be concerned if this kid's dad hunted him down and executed him.

The shooting was probably unnecessary. Particularly in light of the fact there didn't appear to be anything in the video that suggested the officer's life was in danger.
That said, even if it was a case of mistaken identity, the kid throws the car in reverse and starts to drive away when the cop tells him to get out of the car. If the cop was clearly in uniform, then WTF? (If not, then I probably understand the kid's reaction). But the salacious headline is complete BS. The cop didn't just open the door and start blasting the kid while he was eating a hamburger.
