Yup, as others have said, we have a running QB who sticks to throwing the short stuff. Opposing defenses are playing the short stuff daring us to throw down field which we havent done.
UT has hooker who is also a running QB but he can also throw the deep ball so this will be interesting to see how we react defensively.

Rollouts are the stupidest fan idea of all - on a par with “muh…trick plays”.

He seems to try everything that doesn't work.
We seem to move the ball well in a 2 minute drill.

exactly. teams are squatting on the short routes because we have ZERO DOWNFIELD PASSING GAME WITH THIS QB.

He's changed that aspect of the scheme since FSU.
Almost every play now has a check down and they're typically open. Problem is, QB bolts too quick.
