For the past three and a half days I have listened to people purport to be a bigger tiger fan than everyone else for staying in the stadium Saturday afternoon. In that span, I have seen "true" tiger fans referring to those who left as losers, a-holes, and all other manner of vulgarities. I personally have been told to jump off a cliff for my belief that it is okay to leave when you are no longer enjoying yourself.

So, the question is, if a "true" tiger fan is one who curses, screams, and condemns to death those who don't do what "true" fans believe a "true" fan would do, who in their right mind would want to be a "true" tiger fan when it means you basically lose all scope of human decency?

Do not defend your filthy fan-hood.

i can guarantee you that 30 percent of the people sitting in the stadium are there to be seen and for the tailgating and don't know a first down from a safety

Truer words have never been spoken, but I guarantee it's higher than 30%. The crowd has definitely changed in the last 10 years or so. A lot more status whore see and be seen types in that stadium now. Ya know, the clowns that could care less if all the big SEC games are moved to afternoon. You know the type I'm talking about......

LSU got skullf--d in a driving rain against Florida in 1999 (I think) something like 44-9. I and about 10 other students stayed til the end. Just for spite. And I dont consider myself any better for doing it. It's a personal choice what you do with your ticket.

I think all fan bases suffer the same afflictions...they are just hidden under the f-yous usually being lobbed at opposing fan bases.
