Customs in UK as a layover question.

I'm flying from Madrid to New Orleans in November. I have a one hour forty five minute layover at Heathrow.
Do I have to go through customs from the EU to UK now before my layover or will I just be in an internationals area?
Curious because my short layover.

Not if you're just connecting. Good luck with that layover in Heathrow. It's been a madhouse.

No - but you also won't go to the main terminal. Follow the purple signs that say connections. You will go through a security check point but not customs.
