Last years 1 vs 4 seed made me resent the idea of playoff expansion. I can’t imagine what a 1 vs 12 seed game would look like

Within 5-10 years you will have a 8-12 seed become CFP champion in a playoff run in which a 3 loss team upsets a few undefeated teams along the way. While it will be exciting, as a lifelong fan of the regular season being just about everything in college football, Im not sure how I will feel about the result.

I think that the level of play is going to drop and it’s going to be noticeable when teams have to play 16 games or so. Injuries and wear and tear will pile up and key players will go down. For some teams it won’t be pretty.

If a 12 made it, they're obviously playing ship quality ball.

Well then, if a 8-12 seed does get hot and runs the playoff table then they clearly were underrated all season compared to their true skill...I'm happy with a small expansion, but I'm not sure if 12 was the right number. JP is still a sceptic that this will all work out for the better and while I'm supportive I am also a little bit irritated that it way too obvious about the money.
