I highly suggest going with Safefloor over EVA. It’s not as soft as EVA but it will come with a warranty for as long as you own the boat. It’s cheaper, easier to maintain, and won’t have to be replaced after 5-7 years.
I believe OP is from Bayou Lafourche. Where do you hail from?

I lived in Houma/Lafourche all my life and never heard it called a bateau till I was a Jr. in High school at a DECA convention.
