Bedliner will have too much texture for the foam flooring to stick to.
I would sand the aluminum with 180 grit and put down an automotive epoxy primer down.
Use a true epoxy primer since it etches into the aluminum. Most other primers won't adhere to the aluminum well.

That was my thought as well on using the bed liner paint.

How heavy is that stuff?

The 4×8 sheet of Aluminum we used was 57 pounds. Don't wanna add to much weight to it
