PSA: if someone steals your card and spends $1,277 at a Kroger in a city and state you’ve never been to, Regions takes up to 10 business days to investigate.

Eh mine was used once and I assume they got it from a skimmer. Regions had replaced the money in 3 business days and had me a new card in about 10 days. It is also why I switched to credit cards though

What's an alternative to a debit card to get cash? We use ours to get cash from our bank ATM, never use it at any random ATM and pay fees.

I use a prepaid card from my bank for all transactions online or at stores.

I’ve locked my main debit card, so while I can write checks and transfer from the account, my main debit card doesn’t work at all.

I transfer money from main, to prepaid either online or on my phone. This way, my main account should never be exposed to skimming or scam. I usually only transfer $500 at a time to prepaid, so if it ever gets skimmed, they won’t get much.
