I don’t think there is a time requirement at all. I opened the account a year or so back just to get money out of a checking account that was paying nothing.
I would check with a Fidelity rep, but I do believe it is guaranteed. My rep is out of Jacksonville FL. Nice guy.
It’s not like an I Bond. You get interest the first month.

Fidelity has a “high yield” money market account. FZDXX. Minimum deposit of $100k.
Not a mutual fund but It’s paying 5.18% right now. That is way better than I’m getting from my Fidelity managed accounts

I paid for a MF subscription about two years ago. They had a strong recommendation to buy PINS. I bought at $60 and it tanked right after.

I use a prepaid card from my bank for all transactions online or at stores.
I’ve locked my main debit card, so while I can write checks and transfer from the account, my main debit card doesn’t work at all.
I transfer money from main, to prepaid either online or on my phone. This way, my main account should never be exposed to skimming or scam. I usually only transfer $500 at a time to prepaid, so if it ever gets skimmed, they won’t get much.
