Opinions: Mule FXT vs Can am Defender Max

Looking at buying a new SxS to get around on my property. Will be used for hunting, working the land, and just afternoon driving around. I have two little kids so the doors on the Mule are a plus. If you were deciding between these two for the reasons above which would you go with?

As an owner of a trouble free 2008 Kawasaki Teryx NRA edition, would be hard for me to recommend anything but another Kawasaki product…

I have a mule FXT and we love it for the size and toughness

I have the 21 defender max crew and it’s been great. So much better than my 14 ranger 900 crew… at least so far. Built much more solid and it rides fantastic. Seats are very comfortable as well. Cousin has the mule and it seems to be a very good bike as well. Have only ridden on it a couple times but it’s comfortable and seems well put together. He claims to love it. I don’t think you can go wrong either way.

Have a 2021 Mule Fx EPS. Coming from a Polaris Ranger couldn’t be happier. Only con on the mules is no diff lock on front. But unless you are a heavy mudder it shouldn’t be an issue.
Mine is used for farm work and hunting. It’s perfect for those applications. One thing I would do after I bought it is turn your shock settings up. Mine came at the lowest setting. The suspension was spongy. Turned mine all the way up and added 27” tetra bites. Gained 3” of GC doing both.

I thought the suspension adjustment was just stiffness, not ride-height.

We have the Kawasaki 6 seater mules with the Diesel engines at the place I work. We use them to pull trailers, carry a crew of men and tools to job sites. They are very tough and reliable machines.
