I'm not sure the NBA has seen a team of this caliber in the last 20-30 years. Lets have a look at the schedule as there are only a few potential challenges along the way. I think it's safe to assume that they should win every home game(pun intended). They do have to face Detroit twice at home but should be able to win both of those. Late December they face the Lakers on a Sunday night in LA...a game which will most likely be televised worldwide (Kobe isn't going anywhere). Then they have splits with the Mavs, Suns, and Spurs. I only see the road games being any sort of challenge.

celtics vs hornets finals?

the Lakers are healthy this year. A healthy Laker team in 2009 > Celtic Team in 2009

Ariza was coming off a broken foot in the finals and Bynum didn't play. That's two of their starters right there.

Ariza isn't a starter. Radmanovic is probably starting SF, or ODom.

There's ALWAYS a CHANCE. I just don't think their chances are as solid as other teams.

No, I know.

But I don't think the Hornets are better than the Lakers, Spurs or Rockets.

You haven't been following them lately? Jackson is flurting with Ariza getting the nod at SF making Odom come off the bench. That's why Ariza was getting almost 30 minutes a game in the preseason.

Odom may be on his way out. Obviously that is not set in stone, the indicators are there though.

It's hard to predict the top 7 of the west this year considering they were separated by 6 games last year.

Nuggets w/o Camby are done... Suns should make playoffs but Clippers could give them a run. Warriors are gonna be bad too.

The Great Green kick things off in dominating fashion against a strong Cavs team.

Celts 90
Cavs 85

Pierce out-duels Lebron with 27 points.

I worry about the Big 3 playing too many regular season minutes but other than that, this celtics team is easily the best team in the East.

Yea, that 5 point victory surely was dominating.
