After finally getting all of my settings where I want them to be, this has been a pretty damn fun experience so far
I'm struggling. I can't get feel for the hit detection, the time to kill isn't what I'm used to (i'm pulling off the trigger before they die), and the maps have so many hiding spots.
In fairness, its just stuff I need to get used to but i'm getting run over. It just doesn't feel good, yet.

Here's what helped me overcome that... Adjust your FOV constantly until you get to the one that feels best. I think I settled on 115. Then, mess around with Affected vs Independent, but make sure you also try the wide/default/narrow options under affected. Early on, I could barely see shite through my reticle when firing while ADS and barely hit shots before I was dead, especially with iron sights. After playing a few more games with Affected FOV and going through each option, wide/default/narrow, I settled on default I believe. Once you can see targets clearly through your reticle or scope, the hit detection will drastically improve.
If you're on controller, I can't help you there, but fine tuning your aim settings is a must.
Also turning off weapon motion blur, film grain, depth of field are very helpful too.
Everything else will fall in place after you've played more. You'll get a better feel for spawns and where people tend to rat it up, etc.
