Bought my son (12) a 6.5 Creedmore, I have been way less than impressed on the impact performance on deer. It doesn't have the punch needed, even on well placed shots.

i love all the louisiana hunters talking about rounds capable of 800 yard shots and saying they dont have enough punch.
the aver LA hunter shoots 150yards and in.
Is there anything special about the 6.5 probably not. it is just the new scientific round due to its coefficient of drag. But it popularity sure makes it to where it isnt going anywhere.
Just like there isnt anything special with any other round people have posted in this thread. get what you like and frick anyone else to that talks shite about it because you can find shite on what ever else they are peddling.

The 7-08 bridges the gap very nicely between several rounds. Great ballistics, moderate recoil, and bigger hole to bleed out.
