Seconded.

I have also read some other books which were supposed to be great and/or scandalous like Stranger In A Strange Land and thought they were shite.

OTOH, I did find Less Than Zero to be disturbing as hell simply because empty kids looking for the next high (drugs or otherwise) still resonates. Probably more so today.

I think the argument is supposed to be that he was targeting specific people in the group rather than just the group.

Columbine was a case where those sick fricks were trying to rack up a body count but were also specifically looking for people they felt had wronged them like athletes.

There seems to be plenty of room to cut expenses in the prison budget for Food.

Seems pretty obvious. The one dead girl apparently said no to dating him and everyone else was his friend in some capacity at the time.

So they weren't random

It’s all pretty public info (and pretty sure it’s in the Wiki on the shooting).

I'm not against him living, but he should never be free. Too much of a liability.

Often these horrendous criminals can share their downfalls with lesser criminals. It can sometimes turn a person towards the right path. Society has nothing to gain from him being free though.

And to be honest, he can do that advocacy from prison itself. I had a state training not too long ago with a guy who has been incarcerated for 25+ years as one of the speakers. It didn’t require him to be free to get his message across.

I strongly doubt that he’ll ever walk free again. I just hope the surviving victims don’t have to go to a parole hearing every year and relive their experiences to keep this crazy man incarcerated. Does anyone know what our Kentucky laws are regarding parole without me having to do research?

One of the guys he shot actually wants him to be set free

And the paralyzed girl visited him in prison a few times

Believe it or not

They don’t have to physically go and can provide written statements for input through a VIS.

How did he get fat in prison? Don't they eat bread and water and pound rocks all day?

You’re welcome. I’ve been working with a client dealing with some issues with someone on parole and had it handy.
