You can't be serious with this question holy shite

you can't be dumb enough to think coaches don't all teach the same techniques. But i could be wrong...tell how a player missing an assignment, muffing a kick, dropping passes, fumbling, etc is coaching and not on the player? Every game I watch returners do idiotic things...Miami punt returner tried to field a ball after it bounced when he could have caught it before it bounced...you think that is coaching?

If special teams mistakes are only the player's fault then the coach has the wrong player in the game (coach's fault). The variety and volume of LSU's special teams mistakes suggests that coaching is at least part of the problem, and backs up the point OP is trying to make.

Well, despite the freshmen and transfers, we don't have a lot of depth. Who made the big punt return tackle? Our freshman O Lineman. Who tracked the guy down on the kickoff that got called back? One of our transfer DBs.

Those guys are busy learning their "real" positions. It would be nice to have suitable reserve talent to put out there, that you also don't count on big-time to win games on offense or defense.

That just doesn't seem to be the case; it's a bandaid right now.
